Seriously? NYC knows no Beaujolais?

So, I was walking back to my hotel – the Best Western Seaport Inn downtown.
How lucky am I to have THREE wine bars on this little street?

Not lucky enough. NONE of them even knew what a Beaujolais Nouveau is, or that last night
was Beaujolais Day.

I will just have to get my fix when I get back to Pittsburgh.

Or…at lunchtime. ๐Ÿ™‚

    So, that 2009 Laboure-Roi you so kindly gave me was quite dry, which is not usually my style but it was easy to drink nonetheless. And it didn’t taste at all affected by its age. Maybe that made it smoother.

    1. Thanks for the posting Ed! In fact, one of the wine bars *was* Italian, which I was not first tipped off at by the Peruvian Waiter.
